| Uses UCAT ANZ | UCAT counts for 2027 medicine entry; Casper replaces it for 2028 entry in both First Year and Graduate categories. [1] |
|---|---|
| How UCAT is used | 2027 final ranking: core GPA 60%, UCAT 15%, MMI 25%; graduates use cumulative GPA. For 2028: MMI 50%, with a minimum threshold, and Casper 50%. UCAT for 2027 entry and Casper for 2028 entry must each be sat in the application year. [1] |
| Interview | Asynchronous MMI on Kira Talent: eight stations of three and a half minutes, about 30 minutes in total. [2] |
| Other selection requirements | 2028 First Year interview eligibility requires GPA 6.0 across BIOSCI 107, CHEM 190, POPLHLTH 111 and MEDSCI 142, with no grade below B in any of the eight first-year courses. CHEM 190 replaces CHEM 110 for 2028; the 2027 core courses use CHEM 110. [1] |
| Pathways | First-year route through BHSc or BSc Biomedical Science, plus the Graduate category. [1] |
| Domestic places | 317 places each year. [1] |
What this means for your UCAT prep
For 2028 entry, spend your admissions test prep time on Casper and the MMI. Practise recorded interview answers because the MMI is asynchronous.
