| How UCAT is used | Medical Science uses the cognitive UCAT total, from 900 to 2700, to rank within ATAR bands. Applicants without UCAT remain eligible but rank lower within their band. [2] |
| Interview | No interview for Medical Science entry. Eligible graduates do not sit GAMSAT or the GUMSAA interview for progression to the MD. [2][3] |
| Other selection requirements | Medical Science requires current Year 12 or completion within the previous year, with no diploma-level or higher study. Adjustments are capped at 0.25. [2][3] |
| Pathways | Medical Science graduates with a GPA of 5.5 or higher are guaranteed entry to the Griffith MD. [2][3] |
| Medical Science historical cut-offs | 2026 Gold Coast: minimum adjusted ATAR 99.90, with UCAT 2240 as the second-order differentiator. Nathan: ATAR 99.95, with all applicants in that band offered a place. The 2023 to 2025 ATAR cut-offs ranged from 99.80 to 99.90. [2] |

| Dental Health Science selection | Bachelor of Dental Health Science, program 1577. UCAT total ranks applicants for GUDAP interview invitations. Offers combine weighted UCAT, GUDAP and academic scores, with a minimum threshold in each component. [4][5] |
| Dental Health Science interview | Recorded online on SAMMI, answering pre-recorded questions for about 1 hour. Around 300 candidates. Assesses motivation, teamwork, communication and empathy, ethics and social awareness, and critical thinking. Candidates must sit in front of a mirror and return the Confidentiality Agreement by 21 October 2026. [5] |
| 2027 dental entry dates and pathways | QTAC closed 30 September 2026. GUDAP window: 9am Monday 23 November to 5pm Friday 27 November 2026 AEST. Rural Priority Access Scheme for MM 2 to 7 and First Peoples Health Pathway are available. [4][5] |
