The Monash UCAT cut-off for a December Medicine interview was 2390 for Victorian applicants outside the Dean's Rural List and 2120 for the Dean's Rural List, for 2027 entry with the test sat in 2026. Those are the lowest scores Monash invited in those two rounds. Clearing them got you an interview, and the offer then depended on more than UCAT. UCAT ANZ 2027 is the sitting for 2028 entry, and Monash hasn't published its 2028 interview cut-offs.
What was the Monash UCAT cut-off for 2027 entry?
Monash is the one Australian medical school with an official multi-year series, which makes this a rare cut-off question with a real answer. The numbers cover the December interview rounds and the two applicant groups in the table. They don't cover every round, every applicant or the final offer line, so write the group name next to any score you copy into your notes.
Here is Monash's published December interview series. Entry year is when the course starts; the test was sat the year before. Totals for 2025 entry and earlier are on the old four-subtest scale out of 3600.
| Entry year | Test sat | Victorian, non-DRL | Dean's Rural List |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2027 | 2026 | 2390, 93rd percentile (189 invites) | 2120, 70th percentile (193 invites) |
| 2026 | 2025 | 2380, 94th percentile | 2050, 66th percentile |
| 2025 | 2024 | 3140, old 3600 scale | 2730, old 3600 scale |
| 2024 | 2023 | 3020, old 3600 scale | 2670, old 3600 scale |
| 2023 | 2022 | 2990, old 3600 scale | 2620, old 3600 scale |

Abstract Reasoning left UCAT ANZ in 2025. The rows for 2025 entry and earlier come from tests that still had it, so they're out of 3600. The 2026 and 2027 entry rows use the three-subtest cognitive total out of 2700. A 3140 on the old scale and a 2390 on the new one measure different things, and you can't rank one above the other. Our score comparison explains the change.
Does meeting the Monash UCAT cut-off get an offer?
No. These figures are the lowest UCAT totals that got an invitation to a December interview. After interviews, Monash ranks eligible domestic applicants on three equally weighted parts: ATAR aggregate (with adjustments), UCAT total and the multiple mini interview. A weak MMI can sink a strong UCAT, and a good ATAR still counts after the interview even though the December invitation was decided on UCAT alone.
The January rounds work differently. Monash picks those invitations on UCAT total and ATAR aggregate with equal weight, and they're open to applicants who weren't interviewed in December. Keep the December threshold for the December rounds. If you get a January invitation, it doesn't mean the December line moved. The official page lists the rounds and who can attend each one.
For 2027 entry, the minimum ATAR to be eligible was 90, and Monash says the final ATAR is usually well above that. You also needed the English and Chemistry prerequisites. The applications page sends domestic applicants through VTAC, with no separate Monash form, and you couldn't add Medicine after it closed at 5pm on 28 September 2026.
How does the Dean's Rural List change the comparison?
The Dean's Rural List is a separate route for applicants with a rural background, and you have to meet its residence rules to be on it. The Dean's Rural List page sets out the residence and evidence rules. The lower December score belongs to that group. It tells you nothing about any one applicant's chance of an offer.
For 2027 entry, Monash said at least 27 percent of domestic places would go to eligible Dean's Rural List applicants, and the list had its own application, which closed at 12pm on 9 October 2026. Our rural medicine UCAT guide compares this with other universities' rural schemes. A rural score from one university is no guide to another university's threshold.
If you're eligible for the Extended Rural Cohort or a Bonded Medical Program place, check the VTAC course code carefully. One Monash FAQ swaps the ERC and BMP codes, while the applications page and VTAC agree with each other. Take the code from the live applications page or VTAC. Summary articles, this one included, can go out of date.
Does Monash count Situational Judgement?
Only to break ties. Monash's UCAT total is the three cognitive sections, and it uses the SJT mark "only" as a secondary differentiator when applicants have the same total. You still sit the SJT, and a tie-break is a long way from a published SJT minimum. Our Australian SJT guide puts Monash beside the other consortium schools.
The UCAT ANZ scoring page reports SJT separately on a 300 to 900 scale, and the cognitive total is Verbal Reasoning plus Decision Making plus Quantitative Reasoning. The score calculator will add up your sections for you. It can't tell you whether Monash would have invited you.
What should a 2028 applicant do with these scores?
Keep them as dated history. UCAT ANZ 2027 hasn't been sat yet, so there's no national score distribution for it and no Monash 2028 invitation line. Monash has published its 2028 subject prerequisites through VTAC, but nothing about UCAT thresholds. A 2390 from 2027 entry doesn't become a 2028 target if you drop the date.
Start with the free official practice, then use the Verbal Reasoning, Decision Making and Quantitative Reasoning pages for timed sets. Track the kinds of mistakes you make instead of chasing a predicted cut-off from a prep company. I'm an Otago med student and sat the same test, but Cutline is NZ-based and I haven't been through VTAC, so everything here comes from Monash's own pages. The Australia guide covers the other universities.
What else do Monash applicants ask?
Is 2390 the Monash offer cut-off?
No. It was the lowest Victorian non-DRL December interview invitation score for 2027 entry, from the test sat in 2026. Offers also weighed ATAR and the MMI.
Can I compare a 2025 entry Monash total with 2027 entry?
Not directly. The 2025 entry figures came from a test sat in 2024, on the old 3600 scale. The 2027 entry figures came from a test sat in 2026, out of 2700.
Has Monash published a 2028 UCAT cut-off?
No. Nothing for 2028 entry (test sat in 2027) was published when I checked on 14 October 2026. The 2027 entry figures appeared in mid October 2026.
If you want timed work by subtest before the next round opens, see how Cutline UCAT practice works.
Cutline is NZ-based and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the UCAT ANZ Consortium or Monash University. UCAT is used here only to describe the test. Monash and UCAT ANZ information checked 14 October 2026. Check the official pages for 2028 entry rules when published.
